I am a complete beginner to photography. Is this workshop recommended for me?

Post processing is an advance skill that goes along with photography. It is best done on images whose basic knowledge in photography is quite good. Therefore, if you’re not conversant with the basics of photography yet, I recommend you consider joining the 'basics in photography' workshop first.

Do I need to have prior knowledge about Photoshop to attend this workshop?

Yes, you will need to have a basic knowledge of Photoshop. A good understanding about curves, levels, layer masks, filters and other basic tools. If you are new to Photoshop, I recommend you consider joining the 'Learn the fundamentals of Photoshop' workshop first.

Why only Photoshop and not other image processing applications?

To keep the Workshop content simple, the workflow will be restricted to Adobe products because they are the most advanced and capable tools for digital image processing. Having been trained on these, you should be able to use any equivalent application since the concepts are general.

What should I get for the workshop?

A few pictures you've clicked to edit. Pictures to be preferably in RAW format to get the most out of this workshop.

Laptop for the editing session. Please make sure Adobe Bridge and Adobe Photoshop are installed on the laptop. Preferably the latest version. If you do not have licensed versions of Adobe Photoshop installed on your machine, you may download trial versions from the Adobe site. If you’ve already tried them before and your trial has expired, we encourage you to consider purchasing or subscribing at least for a temporary period. Please visit the Adobe website for purchase and subscription options.
